This information on St. Charles history was compiled by the St. Charles Heritage Center and funded in part by the Kiwanis Club of St. Charles. It is intended to compliment the information provided from the educational programs at the St. Charles Heritage Center. This compilation is meant solely as an overview of significant events and people in St. Charles' history.

All of the information provided in the history was researched in the Vertical Files of the St. Charles Heritage Center unless otherwise noted.
