Take a step back in time and learn about the rich history of our city! Junior historians will learn about the history of St. Charles through tours, interviews and an activity every month over the summer.

Who were the first people who lived in St. Charles? What did they do? How did St. Charles get its name? These are a few of the topics explored in this month’s Junior Historians Program. At the end, learn how to make your own scrapbook to preserve your favorite memories!
Today we will be making scrapbook pages! Participants may need assistance from an adult.
You will need:
8.5"x11" Paper, several sheets (any color or pattern)
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils
Double Sided Tape or Glue Stick
Ruler
Pencil
Mementos (old photos, ticket stubs, notes, letters, or other flat objects)
Session Two: All About History and Bookbinding Activity
How did the St. Charles History Museum come to be? Who helped establish the History Museum? In this junior historians program, we explore the amazing story of the St. Charles History Museum and all the locations that it has existed around St. Charles.
Today we will be doing simple book binding! Participants may need assistance from an adult.
You will need:
3-Hole Punch
Cereal Box, or 2 pieces of cardboard big enough to cover 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper
Yarn
Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils
Ruler
Scissors
Pencil with an Eraser
Your Scrapbook Pages or Blank Paper, with an extra spare sheet
Glue Stick (optional)
