The St. Charles History Museum will host its first ever History Hustle Virtual 5K starting May 10 through May 24, 2021. Anyone can be a part of this historic event, with all proceeds going to benefit the Museum's mission.
Registration is now open and will continue throughout the race dates. Individuals who register on or before May 7 will receive a free event T-shirt and medal. Like an in-person 5K, participants will be asked to register and pay an entrance fee of $40 ($30 for Museum members) for each racer.
From there, the event goes "virtual," and racers choose their date and time (between May 10 and May 24), select their course (including treadmills), and run/walk their race. Racers return to the registration website to report their completion times. After the last day of racing, results will be available online.
People who wish to participate do not need to live in St. Charles. This event allows those all across the country to sign up for the virtual walk/run. A suggested 5K route with historical notes will be available for download.
