St. Charles History Museum Welcomes New Director

The St. Charles History Museum Search Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Costanzo as the new Executive Director of the St. Charles History Museum. Mrs. Costanzo assumed the position of Executive Director on January 2, 2015 and according to Mrs. Costanzo “I am excited to familiarize myself with the St. Charles History Museum as well as the community.”

Mrs. Costanzo is an experienced museum professional with seven years experience. Over the last four years she has been the Education Coordinator and Victorian Site Coordinator for the Lombard Historical Society.  During her time in Lombard Mrs. Costanzo has developed a number of successful educational programs, established new community partnerships and brought the Civil War to life by bringing a reenactment to Lombard which had over 5,000 visitors in attendance in 2014. 

In addition to her work in Lombard, she has worked for the Du Page Children’s Museum in Naperville and prior to that she was the Educator/Curator for the Center for History in Wheaton.

“I am truly looking forward to learning about the rich history of St. Charles as well as working with the board, staff, and volunteers” said Costanzo. “Together we will explore new ways of connecting the museum’s collections with local and regional audiences, and enhancing our role in the community through collaboration and partnership. I am honored to have been chosen to provide leadership as Executive Director.”
