for your safety and ours

January 2022: As a safety measure against the spread of Covid-19, the St. Charles History Museum has restricted office visits and effective immediately, all committee/group meetings will be held virtually. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Museum if you have any questions or concerns. We thank you for your patience and flexibility during this time.

As of Wednesday, August 4, 2021, the St. Charles History Museum requires all individuals, vaccinated and unvaccinated, to wear a mask when entering the Museum gift shop and exhibit hall.

The Kane County Health Department has announced that as of July 31, 2021, the level of COVID-19 virus transmission in Kane County has reached "Substantial." In communities where COVID levels are "Substantial" or "High," the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) recommends every person -- regardless of vaccination status -- wear a mask indoors in public settings. Per this information, the Museum is following the recommended guidelines.

In addition, we ask that you:

Stay home if you are sick.

For more information about COVID-19 transmission by county, visit the CDC website(link is external).

To schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, visit the Kane County Health Department's vaccine website(link is external).

The Museum's highest priority is following protocol that protects the health and safety of the community. Future updates or changes to our current mask requirements will be communicated via our website and social media channels.
